London: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy, along with Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, held a special ‘Meet and Greet’ programme with NRIs, Indian community representatives and members of the Telugu community as part of his London visit.
The programme was organised at the prestigious Taj Hotel in Central London under the leadership of Sudhakar Goud, Vice President of the Indian Overseas Congress, Telangana PCC NRI Convenor and Indian community leader. A large number of Telugu community leaders, professionals from various sectors, investors, academicians and NRIs from across the UK attended the event.
The discussions focused on Telangana’s development, investment opportunities in the state, strengthening the education sector, improving government connectivity with the diaspora and future development plans. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy interacted directly with the participants and emphasised the importance of the experience, expertise, investments and ideas of the Telangana diaspora in accelerating the state’s progress.

Diaspora Should Be Partners in ‘Telangana Rising’
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy called upon the Indian diaspora to become strong supporters and ambassadors of ‘Telangana Rising’. He invited the diaspora to actively contribute to Telangana’s journey towards emerging as a global economic and innovation hub.
Interacting personally with NRIs, investors and professionals from different fields, the Chief Minister urged them to share new ideas and suggestions that could contribute to the development of Telangana. He also called for strengthening networks within the diaspora and creating new opportunities through greater collaboration with the state government.
Special Focus on Investments and Education
Investment opportunities, strengthening the education sector and establishing stronger connectivity between the Telangana government and NRIs emerged as key areas of discussion during the programme.
The participants discussed measures to create a more favourable environment for investors from the UK and Europe to invest in Telangana, bring international expertise and best practices in education to the state, and utilise the services and professional experience of the diaspora for Telangana’s development.
Sudhakar Goud Praises CM Revanth Reddy
Programme organiser Sudhakar Goud, Vice President of the Indian Overseas Congress and Telangana PCC NRI Convenor, said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has a special bond with London.
Referring to the Chief Minister’s previous visit to London, Sudhakar Goud recalled the assurance given to Gulf NRIs and said that the promise had subsequently been fulfilled.
He said that Revanth Reddy had worked hard to bring the Congress party to power in Telangana and enjoys a large number of supporters and admirers among the Indian and Telangana diaspora in the UK. He further said that the community would continue to stand firmly by the Chief Minister and support him.
Stronger Connectivity Between NRIs and Telangana Government
Sudhakar Goud urged the Telangana government to establish a strong bridge between NRIs in the UK and the state government, particularly in the areas of investments, education and other opportunities.
He suggested creating a dedicated mechanism through which the Telangana community, investors and academicians in the UK could work in closer coordination with the state government.
Sudhakar Goud said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Sridhar Babu responded positively to the proposal. He stated that the government had indicated that investors and professionals from the UK would be invited to the next Global Summit Business Meet scheduled in December.
Minister Sridhar Babu Explains NRI and Investment Policies
Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu explained the government’s NRI policy and investment policy in detail during the programme. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening Telangana’s engagement with the UK and Europe.
He said that, considering the strong connectivity between India, the UK and Europe, the government was examining the possibility of developing suitable special policies and mechanisms to facilitate greater participation by NRIs, investors and professionals from these regions.

The question-and-answer session held during the programme gave special importance to issues concerning Telangana’s education system.

The meeting provided a clear direction towards increasing the participation of NRIs in Telangana’s development, attracting investments to the state, utilising the expertise of professionals abroad and strengthening institutional connectivity between the government and the diaspora community.
