Service initiative held to mark the birthday of Aitha Anoop Chakravarthy
Hyderabad: The ‘Ready to Serve’ Foundation organised a food distribution programme at Gandhi Hospital and Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad. Free meals were distributed to nearly 1,000 people at both locations, including poor patients undergoing treatment, their family members and others in need.
The service programme was organised on the occasion of the birthday of Aitha Anoop Chakravarthy, MD of Shreeman Group and former LAC Member of TTD Devasthanams. Several volunteers participated in the initiative and personally served food to the beneficiaries.
Foundation members and volunteers extended their voluntary services and distributed meals to hundreds of people. The organisers said the programme was conducted with the objective of supporting people struggling with hunger and providing assistance to those in need. They also stated that similar service initiatives would be expanded and continued on a larger scale in the future.
Poor patients and their family members waiting for treatment at the hospitals expressed their happiness, saying the free meals were extremely helpful during their difficult time. Several beneficiaries appreciated the social service initiatives being undertaken by the ‘Ready to Serve’ Foundation.
Speaking on the occasion, Peddi Shankar, an organiser of the foundation, appealed to donors and volunteers interested in supporting social service activities to come forward and get in touch with the foundation. He said that greater participation from members of society would enable the organisation to extend assistance to more people in need.
