Khammam: In the wake of the devastating floods, the Telangana Development Forum (TDF) once again demonstrated its humanitarian spirit. TDF initiated 2nd phase of flood relief activities in Khammam Rural and Danvaigudem villages, which were severely affected by heavy rains. Khammam Rural and Danvaigudem villages are totally drowned in flood water caused by Muner river .
The TDF leaders distributed food and essential groceries to the poor, who had lost everything in the floods Under the leadership of TDF India President Rajeshwar Reddy, TDF volunteers visited the flood-affected areas interacted with flood effected victims, note downed their issues and distributed food and essential groceries to the victims.
He also mentioned that TDF is working in collaboration with various chapters such as TDF-USA, TDF-Canada, TDF-UK, and TDF-Europe to provide relief to the underprivileged during these tough times. Rajeshwar Reddy expressed his gratitude to all the TDF chapters for coming forward to help their motherland, Telangana. He also thanked the NRIs who donated generously to implement flood relief camps.
Telangana State Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy inaugurated Phase-2 of the TDF relief programs. On this occasion, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy praised the service activities carried out by TDF. He expressed gratitude for the support provided by TDF-USA, TDF-Canada,TDF-UK/Europe and TDF-India services during this time of crisis. The minister requested TDF to continue its relief work, as there is a great need for ongoing support.
The flood victims expressed their gratitude to TDF for providing essential items in their time of need. They also requested the organization to supply school stationery, basic medicines, and clothes. Additionally, they appealed for help with electrical repairs and replacements in their homes, as their wiring systems and electrical appliances were damaged due to the flooding. TDF India General Secretary Vinil assured them that these requests would be addressed soon in coming phases and said that TDF is working other NGO’s to speed up and fulfill requests asap.
TDF India President Rajeshwar Reddy conveyed special thanks to TDF USA Past President Dr.Divesh,TDF USA President Srinivas Manikonda ,TDF UK/Europe President Sravan Vuppala ,TDF Canada President Surrender Peddi and Secretary Pawan Kondam and all country chapters executive team and volunteers who has come forward and helped needy people of Telangana in tough times by their generous contributions and support.
