JEDDAH – For the second consecutive year, Abeer Medical Group is poised to provide crucial healthcare services to Hajj pilgrims in Mina. An urgent medical care clinic, established with the approval of both the Saudi Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has started operations from Monday night to serve pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.
The Abeer clinic will operate from Tent No. 5505 on Street No. 520 in Mina. Abeer management has confirmed that a dedicated team of doctors, nursing staff, paramedics, and pharmacists will be available 24 hours a day. Ambulance services will also be on hand, and pilgrims requiring specialized treatment will be accommodated at Abeer’s Saudi National Hospital in Makkah.
The clinic is set to open its doors as soon as pilgrims begin arriving in Mina and will remain fully operational until the pilgrims depart.
Similar to last year, climate conditions are expected to pose a significant challenge for pilgrims. Meteorological forecasts predict high temperatures during the Hajj days. In anticipation of this, the Abeer clinic has made special provisions to treat health issues stemming from extreme heat, including heatstroke and dehydration.
The clinic will also provide expert care for a range of other health concerns, such as injuries, respiratory problems, fever, fatigue, high blood pressure, asthma, body aches, and infectious diseases.
Abeer Medical Group previously provided healthcare services in Mina during the 2024 Hajj season, assisting thousands of pilgrims.
Mr. Alungal Mohammed, President of Abeer Medical Group, expressed his pleasure at being selected to serve Hajj pilgrims in Mina for the second year running. ‘We are proud that Abeer is selected this year as well to serve the pilgrims in Mina. This is an extension of our hospital and center in Makkah region’.
The ministry of health is doing all possible measures to ensure a smooth conduct of hajj on the healthcare front and Abeer extends our full support in this mission, he said.
