California: The Bathukamma festival was celebrated with grandeur in Dublin city under the auspices of the Telangana Development Forum (TDF-USA). Around a thousand Telangana-origin NRI women and their families participated in the event, arranging colorful Bathukammas and rejoicing with traditional songs and dances.
The event was graced by TDF India President Matta Rajeswar Reddy and former President Raja Reddy Vatte, who extended festive greetings to all the women participants. The program was efficiently organized by Keerthi Manikonda, Saritha Rajidi, Vandana, Saritha Kethireddy, Bhargavi, Saritha Ravi, Shwetha, Divya Pallavi, Sravanthi Revuri, Arpita, and others.
Speaking on the occasion, TDF-USA President Srinivas Manikonda said, “We are proud to have been celebrating Bathukamma continuously for the past 25 years in the United States. TDF has been playing a vital role in preserving Telangana’s culture across the globe.” He added that TDF would continue to promote cultural and developmental activities in Telangana in the future.
TDF India President Matta Rajeswar Reddy remarked, “This Bathukamma celebration held in America is a reflection of our cultural pride. I hope the NRIs continue to preserve and promote our traditions in the same spirit.”
The organizers concluded the event by expressing their gratitude to all sponsors and participants for making the celebration a grand success.
