“United in Action Against Social Evils” Joint Anti-Drugs Committee

The Joint Anti-Drug Committee Jeddah has vowed to work collectively against social evils. This decision was made during a seminar titled “Intoxication Concerns,” organized by Jeddah Kerala Pauravali. Representatives from various social organizations participated in the event, emphasizing the need for united action in tackling drug abuse and related issues and commits to fighting Social Evils.

As part of this initiative, a series of awareness programs will be conducted in future, including social media campaigns, video displays, awareness classes, and counselling sessions for both school students and parents. These efforts will take place in Jeddah and India, with the support of various social and cultural organizations.

The team will meet the concerned authorities to advocate for timely reforms in India’s criminal laws, the upgrading of policies to curb social immoralities, and the tightening of censorship regulations for cinemas. Additionally, they will push for improvements in the educational system and the strict enforcement of laws to identify drug users through blood tests.

CH Basheer (Kasaragod), Jaffer Ali Palakode (Kannur), Biju MJ (Wayanad) Basheer Paruthikunnan (Malappuram), Rajiya Veeran (Palghat), Suvija Sathyan (Trissur), Simi Abdul Khader (Ernakulam), Anil C Nayar (Kottayam), Fazil Ubis (Idukki), Ali Thekkuthod (Pathanamthitta), Mirza Sharif (Alleppey), Shahir (Kollam), and Mushmi Sharif (Thiruvananthapuram), members from various Jilla Associations also shared their views, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in tackling drug abuse.

Siraj (Jeddah Tamil Sangam), Jakir, Ashraf Ali & Ghulam Mohideen (Red Sea Tamil Society), Shihab Salafi (Jeddah Indian Islahi Centre), Noor Unisa Bava (Maithri Jeddah), Kubra Latheef (Malabar Adukkala), Sadiq Ali Tuvur (Jeddah Indian Media Forum), Basheer Chulliyan (Pravasi Welfare), Shafeeq VP (Focus Jeddah), Dr. Mohd Faisal (ISPAF), Firoz (BRC Calicut), Mansour Farook (MSS), Nasar Chavakad (IDC), Vaheed Saman & Eng Abdul Rahman (Calicut Music lovers), Raheem Kakoor (Pattukoottam), Representatives from various social organizations were introduced, sharing their creative solutions to combat social tribulations and drug abuse effectively.

Jeddah Kerala Pauravali Chairman Kabeer Kondotti moderated the program, while General Convenor Mr. Mansoor Wayanad welcomed the audience.

 

The Committee Co-coordinators, Mirza Shareef and Unni Thekkedath, highlighted the harmful effects of drugs on young people, pinpointing various root causes contributing to the issue. Treasurer Mr. Shareef Arackal delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and supporters of the initiative.

 

Salah Karathan, Venu Anthikkad, Veeran Koyison, Jaleel Kannamangalam, Mohammed Rafi Aluva, Bijuraj Ramanthali, Ismail Ejulu, Nasser Kozhithodi, and Ashraf Ramanattukara coordinated the smooth flow of the event, ensuring its success.
