IDMF recently organized a Medical Awareness Program in Jeddah, focusing on general health to educate and empower the community. The event featured an interactive session and a medical camp providing basic health screenings. The newly formed Medical Association, under the guidance of Consul General H.E. Fahad Ahamed Khan Suri, aims to promote the welfare and well-being of the Indian community.
Dr. Ashfaq Maniar, President of IDMF, initiated the awareness program, which included informative discussions on various health-related topics led by medical professionals and experts. Dr. Revathy, Vice President of IDMF, outlined the purpose of the medical camp to the attendees, who had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Mohamed Saleem, the Secretary of IDMF, organized the medical camp, allowing attendees to undergo essential health screenings, including blood pressure and sugar level checks.
Dr: Farheen Taha, the Joint Secretary highlighted how these screenings provided individuals with valuable insights into their health status and emphasized the importance of regular check-ups and early detection of potential health issues.
The program received support from Ascencia Diabetic Care, which provided free glucometers to approximately 200 attendees referred by concerned doctors.
Dr. Iqbal Musani welcomed the audience, and Mr. Shri Kamlesh Kumar Meena, Consul (Labour), highlighted the purpose and services of IDMF during his felicitation speech. Dr. Naeem coordinated the event, while Mr. Siraj, Community Member delivered the vote of thanks.
Dr. Yamin (PR Communication), efforts in familiarising the camp were noteworthy, as the response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to access free health screenings and expert advice provided by a panel of doctors arranged by IDMF. The event successfully fostered a sense of health consciousness among participants, encouraging them to take proactive measures in managing their well-being. Members of Jeddah Tamil Sangam and the Karnataka NRI Forum supported the event with unwavering dedication, collaborating with IDMF to serve the community.
