– International Seminar on ‘Thiruvalluvar – Kabir Das – Yogi Vemana: A Coordinated Study’ Held in Chennai

Chennai: An international seminar was held on November 16-17 at the Bharatiyar Mandapam in Raj Bhavan, Chennai. This event was jointly organized by the Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan, TCRCP Palakkad, Chennai Hindi Pracharak Sangh, and DAV College Ajmer. The seminar focused on the theme, “Thiruvalluvar – Kabir Das – Yogi Vemana: A Coordinated Study,” and was graced by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, RN Ravi, as the chief guest.

The event saw the participation of many language scholars, educators, and artists. Notably, Telugu music director and singer Ballepalli Mohan was honored with a rare distinction. He was felicitated with an award for his efforts in digitizing the works of Yogi Vemana. Ballepalli Mohan added special charm to the seminar with his musical talents. Several prominent figures praised his work in providing voice and music to the poems while working on their digitization.

The seminar also included discussions on the literary essence, philosophical perspectives, and the social messages conveyed by the works of Thiruvalluvar, Kabir Das, and Yogi Vemana. Scholars shared valuable insights into these three saints’ writings in various languages.
